More About Tungsten Rings and Their Care
Tunstgen, or Tungsten carbide, is one of the hardest materials in the world. Tungsten is scratch resistant which is why it’s a favorite for making and designing jewelry. This is also why we pair it with our dinosaur bone rings, wedding bands, and galaxy opals.
Diamond has a 10 on the MOHS scale and Tungsten is a 9. However, this tough material still requires care and safe keeping from scratches. We recommend you care for your tungsten rings as you would any other special piece of jewelry.
Tungsten essentially lasts a lifetime. Our tungsten rings don’t contain cobalt so they will not rust or cause a allergic skin reaction. If you have extra questions then feel free to get in touch as we’re always here to help you understand our rings and tungsten ring care routines.
The inlay is made of a Cyanacrylate that can be polished to a high gloss.
This coating can become dull after a while. But this is easy solved by polishing it with a cloth and some liquid polish.
Make sure you do it by hand because machines can make the CA coating hot and it can burn.
Polish kits can be bought on this website.
Our rings are fully sealed and water proof.
Unlike other tungsten ring jewelers, you don’t have to worry about whether you can wear a tungsten ring in the pool or shower. You can swim with the ring en wash your hands like you would every day, without troubles.
We have tested the rings in Acid ( yes we did ) and it survived with out any problems. But we did not tested all acids and chemical ofcoure so we advise to not put the ring in acid or chemical.
